Welcome to Oriental short hair
We are a small cattery dedicated to breeding to the CFA breed standard. Raising healthy, well socialized kittens, that are raised among my family. The Cats are our loved family members. We are Ringworm free, Felv negative. Because we are a small cattery, kittens are by reservation only. We only spay/neuter a kitten or cat on buyer(s) orders. All kittens and cats are sold with a written contract and health guarantee, and all shots are included. I am very happy to send you a copy of my Contract if you would like to read what it involves. Since kittens are always being evaluated for show or breeding, kittens do not leave to go to their homes until they are at the very least 12 weeks of age. The kittens really need all this time and more, to become well adjusted happy cats. And that they are able to be fully vaccinated also. We DO NOT advocate the practice of De-clawing and will not sell kittens or cats to anyone that wants to do this. I am more than willing to speak with you more about this. The world is a dangerous place and kittens/cats DO NOT belong out in it. So I will not allow cats of my breeding to be kept in homes where they are let out. I do not ship my kittens or cats as I feel that once on a plane the animals are not guaranteed the care and safety that I want to see. If you are willing to fly or drive to pick up your pet then I’m more than willing to work with you. I also am more than happy to hand carry a pet on a plane to you if needed.

PERSONALITIES
Oriental Short hairs are known for their active, extroverted, and playful nature. They are highly intelligent and curious, always seeking stimulation and interaction. These cats enjoy exploring their surroundings, engaging in interactive play, and even learning tricks. They can be quite vocal, using their expressive meows and trills to communicate with their owners.
CARE
Wipe the corners of the eyes daily with a soft, damp cloth to remove any discharge. Use a separate area of the cloth for each eye so you don’t run the risk of spreading any infection. Check the ears weekly.

GRACEFUL ORIENTALS is an amazing cattery! We bought a beautiful kitten – Dora. She is a little Siamese girl. She follows us from room to room and is amazing with my 2 boys. We love her so much! Her fur is as soft, silky and short. Everything they said about Dora was nothing other than true! I would buy another one from here in the future and tell others about it too!

Care Tips
ENVIRONMENT
It’s a good idea to keep a Orientals as an indoor cat to protect him/her from diseases spread by other animals, birds, attacks by cats or coyotes, and other dangers such as being stolen and being hit by a car.
EYES/EARS
If they look dirty, wipe them with a cotton ball or soft damp cloth moistened with warm water.
LITTER
Keep the litter box spotlessly clean. Like all cats, Orientals are very particular about bathroom hygiene.
COAT
As the name suggests, Oriental Short hairs have a short, close-lying coat that is soft and silky to the touch. Unlike some other short hair breeds, their coat does not require extensive grooming and is relatively low maintenance.
CLEANLINESS
Baths are rarely necessary unless the cat is white or has a lot of white on the coat. Those cats can start to look dingy if they are not regularly bathed. The coat dries quickly after a bath.
BODY
The Orientals feels warm to the touch, but they are always seeking warmth. If you are cold, they probably are too. Buy him/her a nice sweater or two to help him/her retain heat.
